This
charming urban home had plenty of character, but not much room for
expansion in the bathroom or leeway in the budget. A little space
borrowed from the landing and a lot of imagination, however, made
the resulting 70 sf comfortably fit a large air-jet tub, shower,
stool, beauty table, and vanity.
We created three distinct spa environments using tile and color.
The wet-area entices by setting an invigorating tone, while the
stool space is more subdued, and the vanity-beauty area remains
quiet and pristine.
Several angles on the ceiling and in the tilework set up a versatlie
geometry, for a look that changes as you move through the space.
The curves of the half-wall help to balance the angular composition,
while the light fixtures, tile, Nepal blue countertop, and hand-sanded
Pella window give it an organic, old world feel. |
